In honor of Women's History Month, Director / Artist Ricardo Andres Verdesoto Rugel will be showcasing his photo project "Mujeres" this weekend for a 2 day pop-up shop at Arepa Lady located at 77-02 Roosevelt Ave, Jackson Heights, N.Y.  This project emphasizes on showcasing soccer jerseys as day-to-day lifestyle essentials, while working in collaboration with industry leading multicultural millennial women in New York City and Guayaquil, Ecuador. Fittingly, this weekend also marks the closing weekend at Arepa Lady’s current location! 50% of all proceeds of all “Mujeres” prints will go directly to Voces Latinas, a Jackson Heights, Queens based non-profit agency that provides HIV/AIDS and DV preventive and intervention services to the immigrant Latina community. Event organized by Queenscapes as part of the #MujeresExhibit18 campaign on Instagram. Exhibit opens Saturday afternoon March 17th at 4:00pm.
